FAQs
Where are you located?
Danielle is based in Sydney, Australia and works from her studio in Padstow Heights.
How long will my makeup appointment be?
Each event makeup booking is 1 hour duration.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Cleanse and moisturise: Come to your appointment with a clean, moisturised face. Fresh skin provides a better canvas for makeup application and helps the makeup last longer.
Bring realistic inspiration images: If you have a specific look in mind, bring reference photos that are realistic (non-edited). This helps Danielle better understand your vision.
Avoid unfamiliar skincare: Refrain from using any new skincare products right before your appointment to avoid skin reactions or allergies.
Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate the day before to create a smoother surface. Avoid exfoliating on the day of your appointment to prevent irritation.
Note: If your skin isn't accustomed to exfoliating, this could cause a reaction.Wear breathable clothing: Wear something that can be easily removed or doesn't require you to pull it over your head, as this can mess up your makeup after the appointment.
Skin sensitivities: If you have any allergies or sensitivities to makeup products, let Danielle know in advance.
Mindset: Come with a positive mindset, relax and trust your artist! We are skilled professionals, so it's helpful to come with an open mind and clear communication in order to have the most positive exchange with your service experience.
Do you travel for bookings?
Yes! Danielle offers travel makeup bookings based on availability and location. Please complete the travel booking form to inquire.
Do you travel internationally?
Yes! Danielle is available for international bookings. Specific details about flights, accommodation, and other requirements will be discussed in advance. Please note that flights and accommodation costs are the client's responsibility.
Why do you charge a travel fee?
The travel fee helps cover the costs associated with traveling to a client’s location. It compensates for time, transportation expenses (e.g. petrol & tolls.) It also accounts for the time spent setting up and packing down the kit.
This fee ensures Danielle is fairly compensated for the added inconvenience of leaving the studio, which may include unpredictable circumstances or extended working hours. In short, the travel fee offsets the extra logistics and time involved in providing the service at the client’s chosen venue.
Why can’t I find the date I need online?
Appointments can be scheduled online up to 8 months in advance, including for event makeup and bridal trials. Brides are able to reserve their wedding date up to 10 months ahead of time. This policy is applied equally to all clients, and we do not allow bookings before this period to ensure fairness and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
If you can’t book a date online, it means Danielle is unavailable. If it’s beyond the 8-month window, the date hasn’t been released yet, so check back later.
What is your cancellation policy?
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your booking. We understand life happens! However, cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will result in the full amount being charged.
Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes may be treated as a no-show and are also subject to the full service charge.
Do I need to book a bridal trial?
Bridal trials are not mandatory, but they are highly recommended to ensure we align on your vision for the big day. The trial helps us perfect your look, making adjustments before the wedding day to ensure you feel the most confident and beautiful.
